You will create a vision that aligns with the whole school/trust as a potential senior leader in this Face to Face module. You will spend time with new to post middle leaders, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
You will develop a clear picture of your own areas for development and know how to develop others well through engaging with this online module. You will engage with research related to effective CPD and consider talent management.
This Face to Face module will provide experience of planning data collection and data analysis and will support you with using evidence in accountability conversations. You will begin to think about external reviews and how to prepare for these.
Through following this online module you will be able to apply the principles of effective implementation to a real-life scenario linked to your role. You will also think about de-implementation and explore the notion of making brave decisions.
Each module will be delivered by expert colleagues from the Red Kite Learning Trust. Some modules may require pre-session work to be carried out and you will be given the option to carry out additional self-directed study in your own time.
The programme can be followed in three routes depending on your level of experience and current role:
The programme for each route starts in November. You can complete a whole route across an academic year, progressing onto the next route the following year should you wish to do so.

You have just secured your first middle leadership role – congratulations! You want to build on your current knowledge and understanding in order to help you to be effective in your role.
You are currently a middle leader or may be new to post having already had some previous experience. You want to enhance and deepen your knowledge and understanding and develop further within your current role.
On 23 and 24 September 2026, join our face to face 2 day Mental Health First Aider Training with our experienced facilitator. This training is open to all schools and ITT providers and is suitable for teachers, trainee teachers, support staff and school leaders.
