  • Module 1: What is Leadership? 3 November 2026, 4-5pm

This module will help you to develop an understanding of different leadership styles and the habits of an effective leader. You will explore your own motivations for pursuing a leadership role and reflect on your next steps.

  • Module 2: What is Management? 14 January 2027, 4-5pm

You will gain an understanding of what is meant by ‘management’ in this module, and will explore the underpinning skills you will need. You will begin to build a toolkit of positive practices that help shape a team.

  • Module 3: What is Quality Assurance (QA)? 4 March 2027, 4-5pm

By the end of this module you will have an understanding of what QA is, its purpose and a context-specific way of approaching it in your role. You will start to explore the ways you can support QA in your role and develop your own skills.

  • Module 4: Identifying Priorities 27 April 2027, 4-5pm

This module will help you to understand how to plan for longer term priorities and know what a good strategic plan can look like. You will think about evidence you could use in your current role to set improvement goals or to contribute to your team’s plan.

Each module will be delivered by expert colleagues from the Red Kite Learning Trust. Some modules may require pre-session work to be carried out and you will be given the option to carry out additional self-directed study in your own time.

The programme can be followed in three routes depending on your level of experience and current role.

The programme for each route starts in November. You can complete a whole route across an academic year, progressing onto the next route the following year should you wish to do so.
